Scrubber Inspections

Scrubbers Keep Our Industries Clean

Scrubbers work to scrub gases and pollutants released from the coal burning process. Scrubbers fail due to corrosion and erosion as a result of chemical build up, causing wall thinning. Gecko’s inspection robots perform ultrasonic (UT) and visual inspection of your scrubber’s cones and vertical walls to identify patterns of wall thinning.

Gecko’s state of the art, wall climbing robotic inspection teams perform magnetic lift-off and ultrasonic testing (UT) on your scrubber, presenting a clear picture of the most concerning components before failure can take place.

Scrubber Inspections

The number of incidents of scrubbers failing by a variety of corrosion and erosion damage mechanisms is growing.

Our robots can inspect both cones and vertical walls to identify patterns of degradation. Interactive thickness maps can then be used to target areas in need of repair.
