Gecko Robotics, Inc. (“Gecko Robotics,” or “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, security, and accuracy of personal information, subject to provisions of state, federal and international laws.

This Privacy Statement describes how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process personal information of our Site (defined below) visitors, business customers, and job applicants (collectively, “you”) that we collect through the Gecko Robotics website at www.geckorobotics.com, other Gecko Robotics websites referencing this Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Site”) and our interaction with you (whether via phone, email, offline, or other channels or in connection with our services or the operations of our business).

This Privacy Statement does not apply to personal information that we process on behalf of our business customers as “data controllers” or “businesses” operating on their own behalf. We act solely as a “data processor” or “service provider” for our business customers, who are in control of how we process such personal information on their behalf.

Please read this Privacy Statement carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it. By accessing or using our Site or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to this Privacy Statement. What Personal Information Do We Collect

We collect personal information (a) directly from you (for example, through forms or correspondence), (b) automatically from you or your device (for example, when you visit the Site), and (c) from other sources (for example, through our service providers, business partners, or publicly available sources).

When you visit our Site, use certain features or otherwise interact with us, we may collect certain personal information about you, including:

  • Contact Information: Name, contact information (phone number, email address), location (physical address), and other similar information including your contact preferences.

  • Company Information: Company name, contact information (company business address, phone number, email addresses), and other information such as company size and location, company position as well as any publicly available company-related information.

  • Commercial or Transactional Information: Products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, license(s) purchased, and other similar information collected in the course of a purchase of product or service, including eligibility for Gecko Robotics’ products and services.

  • Payment Information: Payment or billing information that you may provide in the course of purchasing Gecko Robotics products or services.

  • Internet or Other Technical Information: Internet Protocol (IP) address of web client or proxy, client TLS protocol and cipher, web pages requested, referring web page, client browser details, access date and time, and other similar information, including mobile device identifiers.

  • Geolocation Data: Approximate location derived from IP addresses.

  • Audio or Other Electronic Data: Recordings and chat transcripts of customer services calls and other similar information.

  • Professional or employment Information: Current or past job history or performance evaluations. We collect this information from individuals applying for employment with Gecko Robotics via accessing a separate site powered by Ashby. Information includes name, email address, LinkedIn profile, website, answers to specific questions about the job posting, and voluntarily shared information in the context of your application.

  • Education Information: Education information collected in the context of individuals applying for employment with Gecko Robotics.

  • Inferences: Inferences reflecting individual preferences, trends, behaviors, and other similar characteristics.

  • Sensitive personal information: Social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number or other sensitive personal information collected, for example, in connection with your application. Please note, we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that, under applicable law, require us to support the right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information.

How We Use the Information Collected

We use personal information for the following business purposes:

  • To communicate with you and respond to your requests: We may use personal information for the purpose of communication back to individuals who contact us, answer their queries, or get in touch with them.

  • To process financial transactions: We use your information, including your Payment, Transactional and Company Information in order to process transactions associated with your purpose of Gecko Robotics products and services.

  • To provide, update, customize, and improve our products, services, and Site: We may use personal information to provide our products, services, and Site, as well as to customize, enhance, and otherwise improve them. For example, Gecko Robotics may use personal information collected through the Site to improve Web presentation and utilization, as well as for troubleshooting purposes. We may also use personal information to tailor your experience and our communications so that they are more useful and relevant to you.

  • For analytics, research, and development: We may use personal information to analyze and evaluate our products, services, Site, technologies, and business, learn more about our business customers, conduct research, and facilitate the development of new products or services.

We may use personal information for the following commercial purposes:

  • To market our products and services or related products or services, and tailor our advertising and marketing activities to you or your company’s interests.

  • To administer subscriptions to Gecko Robotics publications and newsletters.

  • To conduct audits related to counting ad impressions to unique visitors and verify positioning and quality of ad impressions.

  • To manage the security and operation of our Site, networks and systems.

  • To debug in order to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.

  • To verify or maintain the quality or safety of our service and to improve, upgrade, or enhance our service or device.

  • To help exercise your rights with respect to your personal information, including your rights to opt out of receiving personal information.

When Do We Share or Disclose Collected Information

We may disclosure, share or transfer personal information that we process to the following third parties:

  • Affiliates: We may disclose personal information within Gecko Robotics and its affiliates.

  • Third-party service providers: We may disclose personal information to third-party service providers (e.g., order fulfilment, analytics, website management, information technology, customer service, e-mail delivery, auditing, and other similar service providers) that process personal information for limited purposes on our behalf in support of our business and operational needs.

  • Other entities: We may disclose personal information to other entities for additional purposes in accordance with applicable law. For example, we may disclose personal information (a) to our business partners and other third parties upon your request or at your direction, (b) in connection with transactions if there is a proposed or actual merger, purchase, sale acquisition, financing due diligence, transition of service to another service provider, divestiture, bankruptcy, restructuring, receivership, reorganization, dissolution, or other business sale, transfer, or change of control, or (c) to other entities as otherwise may be required or permitted by applicable law or in accordance with your consent or direction.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, but like many companies that operate online, we may at times engage vendors that leverage your personal information for targeted advertising on our behalf. Under certain U.S. state laws, disclosing personal information to these vendors may constitute a “sale” of personal information for valuable consideration, “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or “targeted advertising.” We may “sell” or “share,” and may have “sold” or “shared” in the past 12 months, certain identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity information, and inferences with our advertising partners for this purpose. However, we do not “sell” or “share,” and have not “sold” or “shared” in the past 12 months, personal information of individuals we know to be under 16 years of age.

Retention of Personal Information

We collect and retain personal information for the length of time needed to carry out the purposes described in the Privacy Statement. We also retain personal information for related business purposes, security, legal compliance, and disputes and claims handling, consistent with our retention policy and as permitted by applicable law.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and other similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons or pixels) to collect and generate data on how people are using and interacting with our Site to better understand what is most helpful for our Site visitors, as well as for other purposes described in “How We Use the Information Collected[1] ” section above. Sensitive personal information is not stored within cookies. You can update your cookie settings by selecting the “Update Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of the webpage.

We do not currently take actions to respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browser settings because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed.

Responsibility for External Sites

This website may contain links to other websites. Some of those websites may be operated by third parties. We provide the links for your convenience, however Gecko Robotics does not review, control, or monitor the privacy practices of websites operated by others.

Gecko Robotics is not responsible for the performance of websites operated by third parties or for your business dealings with them. Therefore, whenever you leave this website we recommend that you review each website's privacy practices for adequacy.

Security of Your Personal Information

We seek to keep your personal information secure by implementing reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to help us protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of electronically transmitting or storing information is ever completely secure.

Children’s Personal Information

Our products and services, including the Site, are not intended for children under 18 years of age. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us as described in the “Contact Information[1] ” section below, and we will work to delete it.

Transfer of Your Personal Information

Please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to or stored or processed by us or our service providers in the United States or other jurisdictions for the purposes set out in this Privacy Statement. While your personal information is outside of your jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of the country in which it is located, which may have different data protection standards than in your jurisdiction.

You may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information about you, request access to your personal information (including, if applicable, in a portable and readily usable format or certain additional information about to whom we disclose your personal information), and know what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the categories of sources from which we collect your personal information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing your personal information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose your personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

  • Right to delete. You may have the right to delete personal information we have collected about you.

  • Right to correct. You may have the right to correct incorrect personal information that we maintain about you.

  • Right to opt out. You may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for valuable consideration or cross-context behavioral advertising or processing of your personal information for “targeted advertising.” Please note, we do not process personal information for profiling in furtherance of “decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects,” as such term is defined under applicable law, in a manner that triggers the right to opt out of profiling under applicable law.

  • Right to non-discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of privacy rights conferred by applicable law, including the right not to be retaliated against for the exercise of your rights.

Under applicable law, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You may make such a designation by providing the agent with written permission to act on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide proof of that written permission.
